Building Inspection
ROPE ACCESS TEAM ELIMINATES NEED FOR COSTLY SCAFFOLD INSTALLATION
WHAT VALUE WAS ADDED FOR THE CUSTOMER
- Erecting scaffolding to access the roof of this particular building
would be expensive and labour intensive, and cause major site
interruption during the lengthy set-up and removal period. - Height Dynamics rope access technicians accessed the roof
space to inspect the structural bracing despite the challenging
conditions. As a result there was little-to-no interruption to the
day-to-day operations of the complex and its workers
OUTCOMES
This site is classified as “advanced” because of its demanding nature.
Technicians have to traverse under the roof using rope skills known
as “aid” climbing.
As a result it requires Rope Access operators with strong skills, safety
awareness and a high level of industrial rope access experience.
A certified Level Three (the highest level) technician is required to
assess the risks before accessing and performing work of this nature.
We sent our “A team” of two highly skilled operators skilled in
industrial rope access techniques.
After gaining access to the work area our operators performed the
inspection before documenting the information into a report for
engineer review and potential maintenance in the future.
All project works were conducted safely, efficiently and cost
effectively — without the majority of the building occupants even
knowing the works were being undertaken.
